VNU Join the Organizing of CIMAMotor

On April 8 2009, on behalf of Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government, Chongqing Exhibition Center Co. Ltd. signed a long term cooperation agreement with VNU Exhibitions Asia to jointly expand and develop Chinas foremost motorcycle industry exhibition - China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor).

CIMAMotor is officially organized by Chongqing Municipal Government and China Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers. As an annual event since 2002, this exhibition has experienced rapid growth in recent years and acknowledged as the most important motorcycle industry exhibition in China.

With a population of over 10 million in town and another 10 million in its suburb area, Chongqing is the one of the four metropolitans under the direct jurisdiction of the central government in China. It is famous for its motorcycle industry with half of China's motorcycles produced in the region.  

The signing of this latest cooperation will see VNU Exhibitions Asia assume the role of Strategic Partner of CIMAMotor and take on the planning, consulting and assisting the internationalization and development of the show  together with the existing show team. Through this strategic alliance the future growth of this significant market leading event is ensured for the 2009 edition and beyond.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Ai Yang, Vice Secretary General of Chongqing Municipal Government and Mr. Ton Otten, the CEO of VNU Exhibitions Europe  both had expressed their high hopes for the partnership between the both parties over the plans to further internationalize the already impressive CIMAMotor and confidences that with VNU Exhibitions' international resources and experience, CIMAMotor will keep pace with international standards of motorcycle exhibition organization within the next few years.
